March 2009

March was a big month for us. Mom's birthday (no pictures taken of her and I together, of course) and Cito&Katie's engagement party in Miami. the party will get its own entry (eventually)

But to start off, mom discovered I finally have enough hair for a ponytail. Everyone was very excited (well, daddy could care less, but it is still exciting)
We also went and spent a weekend in a cabin in Lake Tahoe with some of daddy's colleagues. I was not fun to be around because I ended up really sick with a cold so I was extremely whiny. I hope they don't hold it against me

Here Logan and I are hanging out in a car. He was the model child over the weekend, which only made my behavior seem worsePlaying in the snow with Logan and his mom Ann

I had nothing to do with building this snowman. It was all Logan and Ann. All I did was complain that the snow was touching me

I was feeling better the next weekend so I went to a farm with a playgroup
What's over there?
We had so much fun, we went back a second time
Where did the animals go?
Oh there they are

Fourth of July weekend

Hi everyone,

Hope y'all had a good holiday. The first part of my weekend was fun. We hung at in the backyard with some friends for an independence day barbecue

I promise I wasn't bullying Miss Lily. She just wanted to crawl away
The next day, we went to San Jose Children's Discovery Museum. I had so much fun that my parents got us a family membership. We plan on going back often

Unfortunately, the next day I was not feeling so well. I ended up with a fever of 102.5 and threw up. I just wanted to be held by mom all day. She kept me home from school on Monday. I had a low grade fever then, but I didn't throw up. I also didn't eat much. By Tuesday, I was back at school.

This photo is from Tuesday morning where I am obviously feeling better

Contemplating what trouble I can get into:
What mom, I am not doing anything
Now I am
Later that evening, we went to the Concert in the Park in Milpitas. It was so hot in our house that we preferred to stay outside. I love music and being outside so I had a great time. I also learned that if you eat grass, you may throw up
All for now. Until next time

Mother's Day and Stuff

Hello everyone. Just a quick update before I head to Miami tomorrow. I'll be gone for a week visiting with my Nona, all my cousins and all my Tios and Tias. I am very excited. Mom is giving a presentation at the American Geophysical Union Meeting in Fort Lauderdale and Daddy and I are just tagging along. My mom keeps talking about attenuated color ratio, error propagation, aerosol index tracking algorithms and other boring stuff. Thank goodness she doesn't have her own blog because she would be boring y'all to tears.

I managed to catch a cold, so I kept mom up all night because I couldn't breathe. It is payback for her boring me. Hopefully I will be better for my flight tomorrow.

But onto the update

Mother's Day: We went to Sacramento to spend it with Gran and Great Grandma. If my dad was a little less self absorbed, he would have thought to take a picture of me with mom on her first Mother's Day. But he didn't. I also didn't get a picture with Great Grandma. But I did get one with Gran. She played a lot with me and read me books. I loved it:

I also spent time with Grandpa. I think he likes me more than Hattie the dog (but don't tell Hattie.)

Oops, you caught me eating the book...and you say I won't eat anything solid.

I do love teething biscuits

And the bath that follows:

Now aren't I cute in my hat?

Ok, all for now. Now give me that camera

Baby in a Bag

Hi everyone

Greetings from one of my most recent favorite toys...a bag.

Just wanted to let you know that once Mom is feeling better, she will return to blogging my exciting life. But until then, this picture is it.

By the way, I clap and wave now. And I roll everywhere. No sign of crawling yet

Evolution of a Cold

I recently started Daycare. This is a picture of me on my first day. I was healthy and happy
After a week in Daycare, I caught a really bad virus. I had a fever for 6 days, I had fluid easing from every pore of my body and I just felt achy. And to make matters worse, I then got an ear infection. this happened when mom had several deadlines at work and Dad was in Antigua (he says for work). So Grandpa and Gran came to help take care of me so mom could work from home. So I at least I got lots of cuddles from them so there was at least something positive that came out of this. I feel much better now so I am making mom update the blog.

Here is the evolution of my cold:

Saturday at the mall, I napped for 3 hours...my mom suspected something was wrong because I normally don't nap at all, much less at a place where there is so much to look at. My fever started that night
The next day I was yucky but I still had the energy to play
On Monday, things were bad, I even napped/cuddled with dad before he left for antigua. If you know me at all, you know that I DO NOT LIKE laying on my belly
Tuesday, I made the valient effort to play...it is my job

Wednesday, I was just tuckered out
Thursday morning, cuddling with Grandma
I just don't feel well
Friday. Fever broke and I can play again
I even feel well enough to go for a walk on Saturday
As long as I still get plenty of rest
Sunday things are a bit better (other than the Momerazzi)

I played with my new stuffed animal (Thanks Gran)
And got re-acquainted with Grandpa's dog Hattie

I feel better now and I am ready to go back to school

There is a bully at Daycare....the bully's name is ELENA! I steal toys from boys that are 3 months older than me....hey they should stand up for themselves. I am just trying to teach them self-reliance
