Holidays 2007 Part 5

This holiday, I also got to meet lots of new friends.

before we left for Miami, I went to lunch with Auntie Danielle. Danielle and mom have been friends since they were seven years old. I hope I someday have a friend for that long as well. Danielle lives in Vegas but was visiting her parents in the Bay Area. So I plan on seeing lots of her in the coming years

I also met a couple of dad's co-workers. We went to lunch on the 24th. Below is Jacob who is also one of dad's bowling and poker pals. I think I charmed him.
And here is Ozzie and Lubica. Lubica requested my presence at lunch
Once I got to Miami, one of the first people I met was Abby Zaida. She has been a family friend forever and she made me my favorite blanket so I was happy to final meet her and thank her in person
She also invited us over for lunch one day. Everyone got to make requests for their favorite food. Mom requested soup and tostones, dad requested flan and Oncle Gunnar requested arroz con gandules. All I requested was lots of love and I got it. I felt so comfortable, I fell asleep in Abby's arms
Abby also took us to RoseAnn's house so she could meet me. RoseAnn worked at the Drinking Water Research Center with mom when mom was an undergrad. She was very nice
Then I met Paul. Mom and Paul have been friends since high school. She always sees him when she goes home. He is one of her most constant friends and calls mom Jimmie-Curl. He recently got married so maybe Heather (his wife) and him will provide me a playmate (hint hint).
Then came Barby. Barby and mom have been friends since college. They were both chemistry majors. Barby is now a lawyer (we try not to hold that against her). Mom always sees her as well when in Miami. She held me a lot. It was nice.
Lastly I met Patty and Arrianna. Patty and mom have been friends since they were 12. Arianna was born 6 weeks before I was born. I imagin we will be fast friends once I learn to defend myself

Here Arianna was holding onto my cheek for dear life. I eralize they are kind of big and grab-able, but this is ridiculous
Then she started eating her feet (I can do that too now!) but put her leg on top of me so I wouldn't escape.
When I did want to escape, she got serious about keeping me there. But all of this was done with love


So that ends my holiday vacation. Happy New Year to everyone

Holidays 2007 Part 4

I also met Tio Cito and Auntie Katie on this trip. I didn't get any pictures with Katie, but I did get some nice ones with Tio Cito. You can tell that I already adore himas do Sofia
and Sebastian
I also spent a lot of time with the Boysens. Isabelle and I spent a lot of time together, especially with her holding me. She is a good cousin

Holidays 2007 Part 3

The best part about the holidays was that I got to spend time with all my cousins..Sebastian & Isabelle Boysen and Sofia & Lucas Justo.

Nona had all her grandkids together. We tried documenting the event, but some of the cousins did not want to cooperate

I lost Isabelle and now Sofia is crying. I don't know what to do
Nona, I tried the best I could to keep Isabelle and Sofia in the picture. Looks like I am the only cooperative granddaughter....am I your favorite?

I spent time with the Justo Lopez family for the first time. My cousins are so cute and so small. My mom started calling me Giant Baby because I was so big relative to them.

I also spent time with Uncle Albert. He had teh magic touch and put me to sleep


Tia Claudia spent a lot of time nursing so I wasn't able to take any photos with her, but here she is with Sofia

I showed Lucas how to play on the play gym. He just needs to get off his belly. I tried showing him how to roll, but I don't think he is ready yet

Holidays 2007 Part 2

We went to the beach when in Miami. It was my first time to the beach because mom says that it is way too cold in California to go to the beach.

I spent most of the time at South Beach playing with Nona


I then spent some time with Mom, cousin Isabelle and Nona again

Lastly, I put my feet in the ocean for the first time. I was unimpressed but my parents were very excited

Holidays 2007 Part 1

Hi everyone

happy holidays!

I had a great holiday season. I met new family, made many friends and got tons of gifts.

Here I am surrounded by gifts given to me by Gran and Grandpa. My favorite was the green gift bag...not the gift inside, but the gift bag. It had ribbon and everything. It was fun. I still play with it.
I then flew to Miami. i got a gift on the flight over. Look at the cool gate-check tag for my stroller. I played with that all vacation
While in Miami, we did a very "winter-y" thing and went to the beach where I practiced standing on dad's chest
Mom, why am I wearing a garter belt on my head?
