Last weekend as a baby

Hello everyone! This is a big week for me. On Wednesday I will be one year old. Exactly 1 year ago today, mom had already been in labor for a day. She didn't know she had 2 days left of excruciating pain. But I was worth it, doncha think:

I spent my last weekend as a baby doing lots of fun stuff. On Saturday, my parents took me to Toys R Us for the first time. I initially thought it was going to be the same as going to Babies R Us. It started off that way because when we arrived, mom took me to the Mother's Room to change my diaper and to nurse. This room looked exactly like the Mother's Room in Babies R Us

But then we hit the store. Boy was it different:
On Sunday we took the Light Rail to the San Jose Museum of Discovery. Mom forced me to take a picture on the train. I wasn't thrilled.

We went to the museum with my buddy Lily and her brother Eric. I think my favorite exhibit was the water exhibit. We got soaked!! and got to play with balls. Good thing our moms brought us a change of clothes

We then spent quite a bit of time in the crawl section. this is a room made especially for babies that are crawling or just learning to walk. That way, the big kids don't run over us. We played so hard here that we both took a short nap in the exhibit.

Lily's mom took her brother to the big boy section of the museum while we played here. Everyone kept asking if we were twins. I guess we look a little alike and Lily is only 2 weeks younger than I am. We are just good friends
One last development, I now say "vroom vroom" when playing with my wooden ambulance and wooden green car. My parents didn't teach me this. They wonder if I learned that in school, but I won't tell them

See y'all Wednesday on the blog, if not earlier

Cute for a moment

So this morning, my mom dressed me really cute in a yellow and white dress. no one got to see it because I pooped all over it (and my mom! and the carseat) on the way to school. My mom thinks I may have lost 2 pounds! Anyhow so no one got to see me in the cute dress, I thought I would post a picture for my readers. this was taken right before the incident.

Too bad no one else saw this cuteness

Playgroup picnic

Hi

Today we went to a playgroup picnic where we ate and then went to the petting zoo. I loved the petting zoo. I made animal noises. Mom didn't get any pictures because she couldn't take pictures and hold me at the same time.

She did get pictures of me just hanging

My future is so bright, I gotta wear shades:
Sharing my puffs with Miss Lily. Now that is friendship

Fourth of July weekend

Hi everyone,

Hope y'all had a good holiday. The first part of my weekend was fun. We hung at in the backyard with some friends for an independence day barbecue

I promise I wasn't bullying Miss Lily. She just wanted to crawl away
The next day, we went to San Jose Children's Discovery Museum. I had so much fun that my parents got us a family membership. We plan on going back often

Unfortunately, the next day I was not feeling so well. I ended up with a fever of 102.5 and threw up. I just wanted to be held by mom all day. She kept me home from school on Monday. I had a low grade fever then, but I didn't throw up. I also didn't eat much. By Tuesday, I was back at school.

This photo is from Tuesday morning where I am obviously feeling better

Contemplating what trouble I can get into:
What mom, I am not doing anything
Now I am
Later that evening, we went to the Concert in the Park in Milpitas. It was so hot in our house that we preferred to stay outside. I love music and being outside so I had a great time. I also learned that if you eat grass, you may throw up
All for now. Until next time

back in town

Now that we are back in California, my days have not been so exciting. My mom has been keeping me indoors this past week due to all the fires. She says the air quality is too bad for me to breathe. Dad has refrained from rolling his eyes (in her presence), but I think it has been a challenge.

I have done one exciting thing since getting back in town. A couple of weeks ago, we went to see Gran and Grandpa and spent some time at the El Dorado County Fair. I saw lots of animals. And I had my first ride on a carousel. Some older kids were scared, but not me.

I rode the traditional way:

I rode with no hands:

And I rode standing up. i am such a daredevil:

My mom also rode a horse, but she held on the entire time
Another reason why we have not done much is because it has been so HOT! and our house doesn't have air conditioning. It got so bad one weekend, that my parents moved me into their room...they have a small air conditioner in there that they bought when mom was pregnant last year and always hot (now she is typically always cold). Anyways, they tried having me sleep in their big bed with them but I kept kicking mom in the head. Dad had the bright idea to make me a bed on the ground

Here I am napping in that bed. I am sleeping on a quilt. the pillow by my head is to keep me from hitting it on the end table and the 2 blue pillows behind me are the keep me from rolling under their bed. It was fun having my first camp out

Speaking of "back in town", my parents good friends matt, marzia and baby abby are finally back from Switzerland. they spent 1 year there. they left before I was born and now baby abby is no longer a baby. She is a big 2.5 year old little girl. She was very excited to meet me, as I was her and we became fast friends.

We held hands during breakfast (great shot dad, you could have at least waited until my eyes were open):

I loved her so much that i was like"come on over here and give me a hug"
That's what I'm talking about:
I hope to see her again soon

Miami Randomness

ok, this is the last Miami post. Just a bunch of randomness

I had my first taste of yogurt in Miami. I loved it...I want more
Playing with Daddy's hat on the plane
Speaking of hats, I wouldn't wear mine so daddy figured someone should
Lastly, Tia Claudia and mom had to share a dinner plate because everyone ate all the food while mom and Tia Claudia were feeding me and the Wonder Twins. Our family is filled with dirtbags! with Daddy being King of dirtbags. He had 3 helpings and then informed us that there was no food left, other than the plate Tia Claudia had served herself already. luckily, Tia Claudia is not a dirtbag and she shared with mom
