Birthday Gifts

Hey everyone

I had a great first birthday and I got a lot of new toys. And they started arriving before my birthday.

A few days ago, I got Lily in the mail. She is teaching me how to count in both spanish and engligh and she sings so I get to dance. I love her and hug her a lot..Thanks Auntie Lesley and Uncle Mike. I wish I could hug you in person

Here I am anxiously awaiting this thing called presents. I didn't know what that meant. Now I do. I love presents
Look, I got a box to climb
Waiting patiently for Daddy to put together my gift

I got bored so I went to open more gifts. Auntie Sue made me 2 more animals for my zoo. She made me 2 elephants (I already have 2 hippos, 2 lions and 2 giraffes from Auntie Sue). The elephants came with kazoos. I love my kazoos. i went to sleep with one and took it to school today
My Tia Claudia, Uncle Albert and Cousin Sofia and Luca sent me a ton of barrettes for my hair and a mural for me to hang on my wall. Very cute. They also bought my cute white dress.
Stop laughing at me mom!
Daddy got me some drums and cymbals. Check me out. I am rockin out

I also opened gifts from my cousins Sebastian and Isabelle. Sebastian made me a card that I loved. Isabelle also made me some art. They also sent me some toys. I have been hugging the stuffed animal and playing a lot with the cars. Vroom vroom. And the cute white shoes you see in the photos are also courtesy of the Boysen Lopez family

I then got tired from all the excitement so I went to sleep. When I woke up this morning, daddy had finally finished putting together my tractor/car. I love it

I can ride it
and push it
Thanks everyone. I am glad you all didn't listen to my parents when they said "No Gifts"

On Saturday is my birthday party. Mom said something about cake and sugar. I don't know what either these things are, but it sounds exciting. I look forward to it

I am 12 months old today

I am 12 months old today and have decided not be be cooperative. I would not stay still for the photos so they are all blurry. Plus I refused to look at the camera very often. My mom will try again tonight but I doubt I will be cooperative then either

Ooh, pretty dress
No mom, I willonly show you the backside of the sign
Sure, I will hold it facing you but I will move it so much that it will be blurry
Ok, I will cooperate a little bit
and I am done cooperating
Ooh, what's over here
let's give mom a heart attack
That was funny
I'm sorry
What about without the sign
and I am done

I'm ready for school
Let's go mom. I will lead the way

Last weekend as a baby

Hello everyone! This is a big week for me. On Wednesday I will be one year old. Exactly 1 year ago today, mom had already been in labor for a day. She didn't know she had 2 days left of excruciating pain. But I was worth it, doncha think:

I spent my last weekend as a baby doing lots of fun stuff. On Saturday, my parents took me to Toys R Us for the first time. I initially thought it was going to be the same as going to Babies R Us. It started off that way because when we arrived, mom took me to the Mother's Room to change my diaper and to nurse. This room looked exactly like the Mother's Room in Babies R Us

But then we hit the store. Boy was it different:
On Sunday we took the Light Rail to the San Jose Museum of Discovery. Mom forced me to take a picture on the train. I wasn't thrilled.

We went to the museum with my buddy Lily and her brother Eric. I think my favorite exhibit was the water exhibit. We got soaked!! and got to play with balls. Good thing our moms brought us a change of clothes

We then spent quite a bit of time in the crawl section. this is a room made especially for babies that are crawling or just learning to walk. That way, the big kids don't run over us. We played so hard here that we both took a short nap in the exhibit.

Lily's mom took her brother to the big boy section of the museum while we played here. Everyone kept asking if we were twins. I guess we look a little alike and Lily is only 2 weeks younger than I am. We are just good friends
One last development, I now say "vroom vroom" when playing with my wooden ambulance and wooden green car. My parents didn't teach me this. They wonder if I learned that in school, but I won't tell them

See y'all Wednesday on the blog, if not earlier

Cute for a moment

So this morning, my mom dressed me really cute in a yellow and white dress. no one got to see it because I pooped all over it (and my mom! and the carseat) on the way to school. My mom thinks I may have lost 2 pounds! Anyhow so no one got to see me in the cute dress, I thought I would post a picture for my readers. this was taken right before the incident.

Too bad no one else saw this cuteness
