Week 15

Greetings everyone
Week 15 was a big one for me. We already talked about my first Earthquake, and you saw what my parents did to me for Halloween...the indignity. But beyond that, and more exciting, I hit a major milestone. On Friday I rolled over 4 times from my stomach to my back. Of course it was not caught on video. The closest my mom got was my fifth attempt where I was already tired, and quit halfway. if she isn't able to capture me rolling on video, she will upload that video in teh next week or so

All that rolling tired me out:
I am not addicted. I can stop at any time:
On the day of the Earthquake, Daddy's college buddy Jay came to meet me. He has 4 kids so he is a pro at holding babies:

That is all this time

Happy Halloween

Who is the cutest turtle that ever existed?

Ok mom, this is just cruel!

Earthquake

There was an Earthquake here last night at around 8:00 pm, magnitude 5.6. Its epicenter was only 7 miles from our home. We shook quite a bit but everything is fine. Elena had been asleep for the night for about 45 minutes already. She did not even wake up with the Earthquake. We were downstairs withe one of Mick's college buddies when it started and we both ran up to get her. Mom was a little freaked. Dad picked her up in case the aftershocks were bad...they weren't too bad. In the end, it was Dad's loud voice that woke her up.

But no damage, no one was harmed and pressure was released from the Earth which is good.

oh yeah....and Elena is never leaving our room. She will be 16 years old and still sleeping with us

Thanks for everyone's concerns

Week 14 Part 2

This week continued with more activities.

Here are some photos

I am hanging out in my diaper with my baby lion in my bumbo...so what?Mom, why am I wearing a hat indoors?
I may fall asleep, but that doesn't mean that I am done playing with my ball

On Saturday, my mom left me alone with Daddy for 5 whole hours in preparation for when she goes back to work. We did ok, even though I didn't nap nicely for daddy. My mom however didn't do so well. She called several times to check up on us. She is neurotic and a little bit of a control freak...but I can't blame her. I am so cute.

My parents took an infant CPR class so I am ready to eat solids. Good thing they took the class because I stick everything in my mouth now! I went to the class as well and everyone said that I behaved very well, even though I was soooo tired

We also went to the Acevedo Schiesel's household to celebrate Tia Mavy's birthday. good times were had by all...I always enjoy spending time with Baby Daniela.

Here I am with my Tia Hannah. If you look in the background, you can see everyone else hanging out
And here I am with Daddy, Tia Hannah and Baby Daniela.
Hope you all had a nice week

Talking

Another bad cell phone video. This time she is talking.

I will eventually post higher resolution videos, but right now she stops her tricks when she sees the video camera. Sadly, she is comfortable with the cell phone

I am not sure about this Bumbo. You sure it is safe?
Now that I am 3 months old, I am big enough to help make dinner. Here I am with the lasagna noodles
Get these lasagna noodles out of my sling!
The finished product, before baking...I am not allowed near hot things yet
If loving my lion so much is wrong, then I don't want to be right

I am 3 months old today

Week 13

Hi everyone

I am going to be 3 months old soon (on Tuesday). Time sure is flying. It makes me tired to think of all I have learned in 3 short months

And this is what I look like after I am overtired, have had a screaming episode and then crash from sheer exhaustion. If you look closely, my face is tear-stained. I am really good at fighting naps and then getting pissed off about itEarly in the week, my mom went to have lunch with her boss (Max) and co-worker (Aymen). When they started talking science, i took a little nap just sitting there. I am just not ready yet to talk fitting routines...maybe next weekHere are me, my mom, max and aymen (& the laptop computer)I also went to a playgroup picnic on Saturday. There was one little girl that was a full month younger than me but about about a pound heavier. I am such a little peanut. Here I am in my sling...like a peanut in a shell
Lastly, I had a visit from the Jost Vuono family on Saturday. This photo was very hard to take because the boys were not cooperating. They would rather play than have their photo taken. it was nice of them to visit and they brought me a cool gift...a growth chart to keep track of how I grow through the years. That is all I have for this week. We will update again soon!

PS Happy Birthday Nona (It was on Friday, October 19th)

Laughing

Ignore mom's annoying voice and the quality of the video (it is from her cell phone). But she caught me laughing

Weeks11&12

Sorry we haven't been updating recently. Life is busy and all that.

We went to see Gram and Grandpa last week. I had fun (as long as I was fed and not overtired). I also got to see Great Grandma and teh Great Aunts and Uncles. Unfortunately, I do not have any photos of them. But here areteh photos I do have:

I am a big girl now sitting in my Bumbo

And a video of me playing with my lion while I get changed

I also laughed this week. Unfortunately, there was no video camera in sight. My mom is now following me around with a camera. It is annoying so I refuse to perform

week 10

This week started out rough as well. I went to the pediatrician on Monday for my 2 month appointment. I was really liking her. She told me I was passing all my tests. I track really well, I focus like a 4 month old, I've gained weight nicely, etc. It was all positive...and then came the needles. I got 5 shots! This is a picture of me after my shots and after my parents had calmed me down. If you think I look pathetic, you should see what my mom looked like. She kept me company crying as well

On Wednesday, mom had to go to work for a meeting. She brought me along to show off. Sleeping on the job:

Sleeping on the dad:

On Saturday we went out to eat in Fremont. I was very tired:

but happy to spend time with my Uncle Huan:

Doing the Cabbage Patch

week 9

This has not been my best week.

It started out fine on Sunday. We went on a train ride in Niles canyon. It was on an old freight train. Daddy said it was awesome. I really don't know because i was nursing the entire time. I also did not like the big train whistle. but I should get many more chances to see the train and scenery as Daddy loved it and now wants to take all our guest with kids (and some without) on the train. My parents forgot to take pictures though.

After the train ride, we headed up to Oakland for a bbq at my good friend Daniela's house. She is also part of the 50% Chilean Club, like I am. There was another little boy there also part of the club. So now we are three. We are soliciting membership though. Just leave a message on teh blog comments and we will consider you...Sebastian, Isabelle, Lucas and Sofia y'all should start local chapters at your residences. Again my parents forgot to take pictures.

On Monday, Dad's car broke down, so that meant that mom and I were carless on Tuesday and Wednesday while his car got fixed. It didn'tr really matter though because i caught my first cold and we stayed close to home. Unfortunately, my mom remembered to take pictures during my illness:

Mom, please take me home and let me sleep. i don't feel well:

Oh, that's better:

Even sick, look how cute I am:

This week I started drooling and playing wth my saliva. I make great saliva bubbles. So this is your official warning. If you hold me, you will get wet...please wear wash-and-wear fabrics
