Easter 2008

Hi everyone. Hope you all had a happy Easter. i did! First, I learned that you can't pull off tights like you can socks

that made me a little upset

I also learned that lots of rolling makes me tired

But the best part of Easter was all the family I got to see! My Nona came to visit me for the weekend all the way from Miami. She arrived on Thursday and stayed until Monday. Daddy had Friday off from work (mom had to work), so Nona, Daddy and I had fun exploring the Bay Area.
That night, the Acevedos came over for dinner, Tia Vivi and Tia Mavy spent time holding me. I am getting spoiled!

On Saturday, we went to the San Jose Museum of Art where they were having a Picasso and Goya exhibit. Mom just doesn't "get" Picasso. She decided that we should do our own Modern Art:

We then went to the park where I got to play on the swings
And then we went home and I took a bath so I could be clean for Easter. Baths are fun. There are lots of toys involved

We went to Sacramento for Easter. I got to spend it with all my family. It was my parents, Nona, Gran, Grandpa, Great-Grandma and the great Uncles and Aunts. And of course, we cannot forget the dogs, Hattie and Maggie

Here I am with Gran and Great Grandma

Gran and Grandpa gave me an Easter gift. My favorite part was the tissue paper
And mom forced the dogs to play with me a little. I don't understand why they run from me. Don't they know that when I pull their fur, that means I love them?
But definitley the best part was spending time with Nona.

We had so much in common. We both slept on the way to Sacramento:

When we weren't sleeping together, we had lots to talk about
Nona also spoiled me a lot. She held me as much as I wanted
And even let me play with her necklace. My mom told me to be careful because the necklace was delicate and Nona told her to leave me alone. That I could play as much as I wanted

I love my Nona!

Baby in a Bag

Hi everyone

Greetings from one of my most recent favorite toys...a bag.

Just wanted to let you know that once Mom is feeling better, she will return to blogging my exciting life. But until then, this picture is it.

By the way, I clap and wave now. And I roll everywhere. No sign of crawling yet

weekend in SoCal

On Presidents' Day weekend, my parents took me down to the OC (Orange County, in Southern California, for those who don't know). We drove down and I behaved really well in the car. My parents were very proud

we stayed with the Sotos. it was my first time meeting them...amazing, huh? you would have thought they would have come up to meet me earlier. But they hadn't so I had to take matters into my own hands and go visit them.

I got to meet Tio Frank. I really love him, even if he has screwy politics! i was a little unsure of him the first night when him and my dad started debating intelligent design until the wee hours of the night. But he made up for it by spending lots of time playing with me.

Tio Mike spent time with me too. He is in high school now. he says I am cute, but my mom says I can't be hanging out with high school boys. they are too old for me. Tio Mike is the exception.
Tia Cris was also great with me. She kept the boys (dad & frank) in line when they got out of control. She held me a lot. I can't wait to see her again. The last Soto was Meghan. She did a great job taking care of me and always kept me company in the backseat of the car

Dad also spent time bonding with the Sotos. This was taken after a marathon Uno game with Meghan
I also met Berny when we went out for Sushi. He held me during all of lunch so my mom was able to eat in peace (she didn't have sushi though)
Auntie Kriss came to see me too. I hadn't seen her since she came to visit me right after I was born. i love her too as you can tell by this picture

My last visitor was Sidney. My mom and her dad went to grad school together. She is 4 months old and very cute. I hope to be great friends with her and that she comes to visit me in the Bay Area

I still don't know how to show my affection, though. She has a full head of hair. I don't have that so I wanted to know what it felt like, so I grabbed a fist full
She was not so much a fan of that, but I liked it. My parents talked to me about being a bully
and Sidney and I made up (once I started behaving)
All that behaving tuckered me out and I took a nice nap after Sidney leftI also had a good time in SoCal with my parents. Here my mom is protecting me from the pack of dogs
when really, she should have been protecting me from dad, who thinks it is appropriate to put an infant in a trampoline
We also spent some time checking out a fountain. My mom has me dressed for those frigid Southern California winters
I was also cute all by myself.

Chewing on my finger while sitting on the adult couch
Sitting in a restaurant high chair for the first time. My parents had to pad the back with blankets

And my favorite pastime...messing with Tio Frank. I can get him to do anything by giving him this lookThat ends my trip to SoCal

One last thing, before I go, can one of you report mom to Child Labor Laws. She has me doing laundry to "earn my keep"

Everyone, come visit me. I am a lot of fun
