October/November catchup

Wow, October and November have flown by and my mom hasn't helped me with a real blog update in a long time. She keeps talking about how busy she is at work.

We did manage to have some fun. We went to a couple of Pumpkin patches. First we went to one with my school. Nothing says crisp, autumn weather like a yellow sundress...it was hot!

So many pumpkins from which to choose
Picking out my pumpkin:
It is heavier than it looks
Look mom, hay
ew, you want me to touch it?
mom, daddy is making me touch it
looking at the baby goats. Pure happiness
I need a wagon to help carry my little pumpkins
We also went to the Roche Pumpkin Patch where I found a perfect pumpkin as well. It was right at the entrance of the pumpkin patch

I spent some quality time with my gene donor, dad. Some people think we resemble each other
Dad also took me inside of the bounce house. Fun
And Olivia and I solved all the world's problems over sippies of water
I had some important business to attend on one day. I drew a picture for Nona for her birthday. I promise i got just as much crayon on the paper as I got in my mouth. Crayons are yummy

October was just weird, in terms of weather. It was also really cold on a few days. Here I am at Emma's 2nd birthday party, in a wool sweater and in a jacket
Eating strawberries for the first time:

There will be more blog updates soon as Thanksgiving is on the horizon

One last thing, we are moving to New Jersey. i am scared!

Barack the Vote

get out and vote

Mommy: "Elena, who are you voting for?"
Elena: "O-mama"
Mom, leave me alone, I have to make some political Obama calls
seriously.  This campaign can use my cuteness.  we can't get complacent

Are we headed to the polls yet?Mom, I am getting worried, is there going to be a line?

That way to voting booth
let's go.  I'll bring the snacks

Excited about our civic duty, that i can't keep still

Did I make my point.  Go out and vote, especially if it is for Obama.

PS For those in California, vote NO on Proposition 8.  Stop discrimination

Getting into Trick or Treating

October weekend fun

I had a big weekend this past week. lots of fun...and I even saw my daddy on sunday. he has been working very hard lately

Saturday morning, mom took me to the San Jose Children's Museum because it was raining outside and she wanted to get out of the house. She forgot to bring her camera which meant I could play without having to stop for photo-ops. it was freedom as I have never experienced before (and probably never will again).

That afternoon, we went to Miss Lily's place for a playdate. I rode her zebra, of which she is terrified:

I also got to sit in a small chair...my parents need to get me some of these:
Once I got home, I passed out on the carpet in the family room. I played hard so I had to recover.
Sunday morning we went to brunch in Menlo Park at Cafe Baronne. We met up with Auntie Jen, Uncle Aussie, Darlene, Greg and cutie Samuel. Good times were had by all.

Uncle Aussie sure makes funny faces:
Monkey See, monkey do
Going in for the killSweet baby love
All that kissing sure wears a girl out
Later I played in my princess tunnel that Abby (or Babby, as I call her) gave me for my birthday.

I see you mom:
I'm coming
We ended the weekend by going to the park and dinner in Mountain View with Abby (Babby), marzia and matt. we had a great time. Abby and I hugged a lot and held hands. We also rode a horse together:
At dinner I actually ate some chinese food and it wasn't pureed. my parents were so proud. My mom may have cried.

It was an exhausting but exciting weekend.
