Thanksgiving 2008

Hi everyone,

i am trying to catch up. I have this post and the end of the year holidays, so please be patient and get off my mom's back! it is getting a little crowded there.

So we went to NC for Thanksgiving again this year. Unfortunately the Boysen-Lopez's now live in Arkansas, but we were able to visit with Daddy's brother (Tio Tom) and his lovely wife (Tia Kristen). We had a good time as demonstrated by the pictures below.

I love my Tio Tom. We played a lot. I hung upside-down a lot
The rest of the family was pretty cool too. Tia Kristen obtained toys for me and played with me tons

And Quixote, the dog, was recipient of lots of hugs (whether he wanted them or not). Ophelia (dog) and Rumi (cat) managed to escape my grasp, though

The grandparents were there also. We took many family portraits

While in NC, I got to experience some cold weather and fallen leaves:
And we went to a museum which had a little zoo

Here Gran is showing me some reptiles. Mom stayed away...ugh

Enjoying monkeys with Daddy

Annoyed with the camera

Petting a wallaby
Chasing a peacock

Random cuteness

I also got to meet Natalie for the first time. Her mom is Mommy's good friend Rachel. Dad is Emile
Next update should bebig too. Hopefully mom won't take forever again

Carpenter

My Nona bought me a little toddler table and chairs for Christmas and my mom let me have it early. But she made me work for it. I had to build it myself.

Gathering my tools:
Laying out the parts I need:
Reading the instructions:
This is a 2 screwdriver job.
Consulting the directions again and grabbing an Allen key
Such hard work and concentration

aah, the finished product: a chair
Enjoying the table the next morning

October/November catchup

Wow, October and November have flown by and my mom hasn't helped me with a real blog update in a long time. She keeps talking about how busy she is at work.

We did manage to have some fun. We went to a couple of Pumpkin patches. First we went to one with my school. Nothing says crisp, autumn weather like a yellow sundress...it was hot!

So many pumpkins from which to choose
Picking out my pumpkin:
It is heavier than it looks
Look mom, hay
ew, you want me to touch it?
mom, daddy is making me touch it
looking at the baby goats. Pure happiness
I need a wagon to help carry my little pumpkins
We also went to the Roche Pumpkin Patch where I found a perfect pumpkin as well. It was right at the entrance of the pumpkin patch

I spent some quality time with my gene donor, dad. Some people think we resemble each other
Dad also took me inside of the bounce house. Fun
And Olivia and I solved all the world's problems over sippies of water
I had some important business to attend on one day. I drew a picture for Nona for her birthday. I promise i got just as much crayon on the paper as I got in my mouth. Crayons are yummy

October was just weird, in terms of weather. It was also really cold on a few days. Here I am at Emma's 2nd birthday party, in a wool sweater and in a jacket
Eating strawberries for the first time:
Swinging with Olivia
There will be more blog updates soon as Thanksgiving is on the horizon

One last thing, we are moving to New Jersey. i am scared!
